What is the Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft Collaboration?

Blizzard Entertainment announced a collaboration between Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft, two of their most popular games. The collaboration features a new in-game event in Overwatch 2, as well as new cosmetic items for both games. The event will run from December 6th to January 19th, 2023.

The in-game event in Overwatch 2 will feature a new game mode called "Gridiron." In this mode, two teams of six players compete to capture and control a flag. The team that holds the flag for the longest amount of time wins the round. The event will also feature new cosmetic items, including skins for Bastion, Genji, and Mercy that are inspired by World of Warcraft characters.

What are the New Cosmetic Items?

In addition to the new game mode, the Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft collaboration also includes new cosmetic items for both games. These items include:

• Bastion skin inspired by the World of Warcraft character Hogger
• Genji skin inspired by the World of Warcraft character Illidan Stormrage
• Mercy skin inspired by the World of Warcraft character Jaina Proudmoore
• World of Warcraft mount inspired by the Overwatch character Tracer
• World of Warcraft pet inspired by the Overwatch character Baby D.Va

These cosmetic items can be purchased in the in-game stores for both Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft.

How to Participate in the Event

To participate in the Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft collaboration event, simply log into Overwatch 2 during the event period (December 6th to January 19th, 2023). You will then be able to access the new Gridiron game mode and earn the new cosmetic items.
